Circle in the Squares

Circle in the Squares

Acrylic on Wood
36″ x 36″ x 3.5″

In this three-dimensional white square sits a grid of 16 squares. Fifteen of them hold an inner square, and one holds the circle. There are four interchangeable, differently colored circles that may be placed in the circle box. The light source is important with this piece, as shadowing plays an integral part.

In a rigid environment, the ability to be playful and change, even in a small way, is necessary and important.
