Pamela Gwaltney is an artist whose work combines aesthetic elements from minimalism, geometric abstraction, 3D shapes and LED lighting. Her 'Portals' and similar works create an air of mystery and contemplation. Ms. Gwaltney has studios in Potomac, MD and Calistoga, CA where she creates her commissioned artwork.

Portal 4, Light Stack was commissioned for a stairway that leads to the second floor from a first floor entry, and it is mainly viewed from the living room. The rich brownish-gold color of the ten panels was carefully mixed to subtly reflect light, and to complement the artwork and the brick accents inside this mid-century home. It “lights the way” up and down.
